Installation precautions for diesel generators
Keep the surroundings of the diesel generator set installation area clean, and avoid placing nearby objects that can generate acidic and alkaline corrosive gases and steam. Conditional should be equipped with fire extinguishing devices.
First, the generator set shell must have reliable protective grounding. For generators that require a neutral point to be directly grounded, professionals must be neutrally grounded and equipped with lightning protection devices. It is strictly prohibited to use the grounding device of the city power supply for neutrality. The point is directly grounded. The two-way switch with the mains must be very reliable to prevent reverse power transmission. The wiring reliability of the two-way switch needs to be approved by the local power supply department.
Second, the diesel generator set installation site needs to be well ventilated, the generator side should have sufficient air inlets, and the diesel engine side should have good air outlets. The area of the air outlet should be more than 1.5 times the area of the water tank. The old diesel generator set needs to use concrete as the foundation. During installation, the level must be measured with a spirit level to fix the unit on a level basis. There should be special anti-shock pads or foot bolts between the unit and the foundation. Modern diesel generators do not require concrete as the foundation, because modern diesel generators have been improved. The entire unit is flat on the ground and is equipped with shock absorbers, which is very convenient.
3. For indoor use, the smoke exhaust pipe must be led to the outdoor. The diameter of the pipe must be the diameter of the smoke pipe of the muffler. The elbow of the connected pipe should not exceed 3 to keep the smoke exhaust unobstructed. Tilt down 5-10 degrees to avoid rainwater injection; if the exhaust pipe is installed vertically upwards, a rain cover must be installed.
